| Is there a large difference between the millenium 961 and 962 ? My second question is Millenium or scout light ? What I like is the 125 lumens instead of just 65. |
| The only different between the 961 and 962 is the mounting system. The 961 has the thumb screws and the 962 has the A.R.M.S. throw lever. The scout light has a little less lumens for a bit longer amount of time. The LED in the scout light reduces the risk of a blown bulb like on the 961 or 962. You can upgrade the head on the 961 and 962 for longer throw as well. The scout lights are smaller and lighter. Have fun! |
The M961/962 is a 9v incandascent light system and has a max' effective range of approx. 100yds. with its std. lamp installed. The M600A Scout has the 5w KL4 LED head which has a rating of 100 lumens but it's designed to have a very large flood area but it doesn't have very good throw. Its max' effective range (for good clear target identification is approx. 25-30yds. The M600B Scout has a 65 lumen incandascent lamp which may not have as much flood as the M600A but it still does a great job indoors with much better throw. Its max' effective range (for good clear target identification is approx. 45-55yds. The M961/962 could be outfitted with a KL6 LED which would be stronger than the M600A though still not offer quite as much flood. Its max' effective range for good clear target identification is approx. 60yds. |
