Good light but heavy and expensive.  I sold mine

I now have a pentagon L2 and a insight h2x typhoon(night ops gladius) in larue QD light mounts.  My purposes I really don't need that much throw and brightness the M900A provides and I prefer the weight savings.

Great light!  It's heavier than a light on a mount, but it does include a vertical grip.  The thing is built like a tank except for the ARMS mount.  But that is easily remedied by replacing it with a Larue mount.

I own a M900A and I think it's great if you're looking for a vertical and light combination. The LEDs are a plus as well. The only downside is the price.

How do you replace the ARMS mount with the LaRue mount?

I have had several M900 lights with various switches.  The M900 Rail Mount with a tape switch works great for me...although it is a bit on the bulky side.  For better light and LED/Incandesant capabilities I would recommend the M600 scout light because it is small, lightweight, and very powerful.  Hope it helps.

I had a M900 and sold it.  Why?  It is expensive.  It is pretty much the heaviest light and foregrip combo out there.  The output is either lower than a current top of the line 6V LED or it only runs for 20 minutes.  The LEDs are not water proofed and will glow for hours after getting wet so you have to cover them with little rubber boots which them makes the nav lights unusable.  The permanant on switching is easy to activate for a right hander but hard to turn off without removing your hand from the grip.  The nav lights are a pain in the butt to run for very long at one time.  The output is unregualted on the light.

You can run a smaller light with all the features of the M900 and several additional features for much less weight and money.  I can think of no reason you should buy a M900A other than you think it looks cool and that wears off pretty quick.

I have gone to a Gladius modded with a Seoul LED for 180 lumen output, regulated light, waterproofed LED, nav light capable, strobe, permanant on capability, adjustable output, lock out tail switch with a KAC vertical grip and Larue offset 1.040" flash light mount.  Saved a ton of weight and money, costs less to operate, has more functionality.

jadams951 has sold his M900 and purchased an Insight Typhoon (Gladius clone) and is awaiting my mod to return to send his off for the Seoul upgrade.  If you want the output of the M900 and navlights but with better feature set, lower weight, and less money it is the only way to go.

2 allen head screws are all that holds it on, easy swap.
