| Insight Technology and BlackHawk have both come out with LED weapon lights recently. I'm not sure of the country of manufacture but I hope they're both American made. The BlackHawk light called the Xiphos NT also has a strobe feature to disorient your adversary. |

I emailed Streamlight and got this "Thank you for your inquiry. Most of our products are assembled in the USA." I emailed Insight and got "Thank you for inquiring with Insight. Our products are manufactured here in the USA. Our factory is located in Londonderry NH." However unless I missed something, all of Insight's are incandescant. |

Thanks Quib, that is why I emailed them. The statement "Designed and Assembled in the USA" leads me to believe the parts may not be manufactured in the USA. If they are, I may buy one. I emailed them back a second time for clarification on this but have not received a reply yet. |

If you are looking for a rifle/carbine light, don't overlook PentagonLight. I just got the X3 (like the surefire 6P, but I think the head is bigger) and it rocks. Rock solid, double O-rings, gold plated inerds, etc. USA made. Also fits into stnd 1" rings. The Pentagon LED lights (L2, L3) I've not owned, but they got good reviews when I could find them. The L3 is barely brigher than the L2, but offers much longer battery life. |
