[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How do YOU zero a laser?

I put my new TLR2 on my AR. I mounted it under the handguard. I zeroed it using my dot on the Eotech. It should be pretty close but I havn't been able to try it out yet. Question is: at 25 yards and at 100 yards, what difference will point of impact be from the laser be. Wouldn't it be different with it mounted under the handguard as opposed to the poi of the Eotech mounted on top?

Maintain offset of the laser to bore in the hortizontal plane. That way you dont have to worry about offset left and right at different ranges. Or just zero it at 25 and its "close enough" from 0 to 50 yards to not worry about it.

Thanks, I zeroed it with my Eotech at 50 yards. Guess I'll wait for a cloudy day and try it at 25.
