The TLR-1 has a LED bulb and an aluminum housing, M3 is plastic and an incadecent bulb.

Just got my Tlr-1 in from ADCO. It's a great light for the price!!! We will see how it holds up after  some use. Seems to be built much stronger then the M3 I had.

                                                                                                Thanks!!

PS: ADCO has some very fast shipping!! Could have  got the light for a few bucks less but why not go with a vendor you can trust like ADCO!!!!!

I have the M6 on my duty pistol and it doesn't seem to handle daily use very well.  Sometimes it doesn't want to turn on.  Just bought TLR-1 for my AR and it seems like it'll be ok, made of aluminum and all.

I got my TLR-1 yesterday, from ADCO too, and it got here fast as well. That is one thing I can say about Steve and ADCO. His pre and post order communication and shipping are great. Never are you left in the dark.

The M3 is a plastic unreliable POS.  My academy class of 32 all bought M3s.  About 75% of the class was experiencing problems while shooting, carrying, and handling the M3s.  We sent about 10 of them back for new ones that weren't broken.  I luckily got one of the more reliable ones, haven't had a problem with it.  However, that being said....I am still in the market for 2 TLR-1, one for my glock and one for my rifle.
The thing with the M3 is you have to keep the connections to the battery clean, or you have to hit the light for it to turn on.  Not impressed with the M3.....anyone want to buy one???
