# 1 With the cables I use NSN 5975-00-903-2284 electrical tie downs any small tie wrap will work. if you use a few there will be no problem with snaging on anything. # 2 Lights ranged from m95 3 cell to finally a surefire M1 IR I would recomend a M95 2 cell w/ an IR filter. the size of the 3 cell is just too big for an 11in upper. #3 as far as equipment I found a parascope very handy for keeping your head out of harms way brigade QM has one for $85.00, it is adaptable to a pvs-14 with the proper adapter. the guy Victor has one on here for an excelent price. http://ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=209&t=148649. Feel free to ask any other questions..happy to help |

I am just back in the states for a break I plan on going back after the holidays. #1 the versipod bipod was ok The + was the bayonet adapter saves room on the lower ARMS Rail. The - is that it just isnt a very good bipod. I plan on moding the bayonet adapter to mount a rail mounted harris or a GG&G. #2 The Redi Mag was outstanding. There is no faster way to get a second mag into your weapon. Most engagements only lasted 2-3 mags in semi auto fire so your first mag change makes a big diffrence. As far a configurations go I change and practice alot. So there is always something diffrent on my weapons. Is anyone here going to Iraq soon? If so I have all of the NSN's for the NVEC stuff. Most of it is pretty easy to get through the Class 9 (army) suply system. |

One of the best pieces I used over there is the NVEC MANTIS here are some pics. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c343/mic68/MANTIS1.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c343/mic68/MANTIS2.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c343/mic68/MANTIS3.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c343/mic68/MANTIS4.jpg |

About the free float, your right my bad, honestly never thought of that. back to the drawing boards. As for the condition of the equipment. the stuff in the pics is new, I just recieved most of it . We could not get them to ship it to an APO. The stuff that is in country is much more , shall i say well used. the only piece I ever knew that has broken was a illuminator cover off of an ATILLA. It was an easy fix once we got the cover and the 4 pins. Here is a pic of me in somewhere in the Green zone. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c343/mic68/PCDV0026a.jpg |

Mic -- no wories - just attempting to keep eveyone honest. Attila eh? I am extremly impressed with NVEC's stuff (esp the Attila). Not to hi-jack more than I have - but I thought NVEC would not deal with contractors? *personal interest as I am now out and looking for kit. I knew about the APO/AFO restrcitions -- you need to DHL them to a unit. |
| We got our first 2 issues of ATTILA's, VITAL's and Raptors through a aviation unit we helping out. All it took was some Embassy.support and we got SD Letterhead to buy the rest. Kinda like after ban stuff was only available to Police with LEO letterhead. By the looks of your pic you were over there where at? |
