For my SF G2, I am using a $25 Pelican remote switch.  Works great but I have moved things and it is approx 2-3 inches too short n the cord.  I need about 8 inches (okay I opened myself up with that comment).

Anybody know of a good switch with an 8 inch cord?  I know SF makes one but it is 3x cost of Pelican.

BTW, no curlies.

To the best of my knowledge, only SF offers diff. lengths.

Will using a pressure switch still allow you to turn the light on by twisting the tailcap?

Surefire pressure switches don't work this way.  I don't think any others do either.

I was considering adding a pressure switch. I can use my M4 for work and need a light. If I' using a pressure switch and have to do something with my support hand while covering someone, the light will go out. Not good considering I work midnights.

You can use an Surefire XM tailcap.  It has a socket for pressure switches and also a push button switch.  The button in a "clickie".  Push it partway for momentary and all the way for constant-on.
