I am curious if anyone knows if surefire's tailcaps with the tape switch can be used on a G2? Am looking for a lightweight/inexpensive setup (Already bought light, if I can't put a tape switch, im still going to use it, just would prefer tape switch on a fore-grip). If it can be done, please let me know, I would greatly appriciate it.

Yes it can be done. Contact Brightflashlights here on ARFCOM (see industry section) he even has an aftermarket tape switch at a good price.

The Pelican M6 tailcap with pressure switch also fits the G2 and is about $15.
