Trying to mount a light on m4ergery on the cheap.  Wonder if anyone has the components that they could try this and tell me if this will work.  Mount a streamlight tactical light mount through the cooling holes on the top rront of the m4 handguards( so the pictinny rail is right behing the front sight post).  Then mount  an angled accessory mount (45 degree kind, like bushamster BMAS).   Then use a standard scope ring to mount a 6p or equivilant.  In theory it should work, but I wonder if the heighth of a scope ring will give enough room for the light to clear the front sight post.

The above can work but I'd recommend using a 2" Picatinny rail mount on the top h.guard and then attach a Viking Tactics offset mount to that.  Going that route will keep the light lower yet still have the neccessary clearance for the fr. sight housing plus it'll be just as affordable.

If you need any of this let me know, I have it all in stock.  I'll also get you a pic snapped so you can see exactly what it looks like.
