Is there any way to make sense out of all this alphabet soup without having to memorize 20 pages of parts lists? If not, where are the parts lists? I need something with pictures-- the stuff I've seen at the SureFire site has no way to identify individual components by sight. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, I can see this is going nowhere. Or maybe everyone's just blinded themselves with thgeir latest hot light. So let me put this to the Collective:
I need a light that will fit into a Viking Tactics mount, that won't cost me the funds for my next upper. I'm inclined toward a Surefire, because of their reputation for quality, but I know not all of their bezels are shock-absobent enough to stand up to gunfire. I've looked at their online catalog enough to get really confused. Won't someone at least bother to answer?

Get either a G2 or a 6P and add the Z32 bezel.  You'll be looking at about $55-85.  Both C4iGrant and BrightFlashlights sell what you'd need on the Equipment Exchange.

Thank you, sir. Why are the bezels not listed in the Surefire site? Or do they not sell replacement parts except to dealers? Please bear with me. It's a very frustrating, confusing area to someone who hasn't been immersed in it. Thank you again.

$urefire website is not up to date.

Many of the $urefire parts are older parts and not listed in their newer catalogs.  You should be able to order them by calling the factory direct.

The parts are named by their engineers, and geeks are not known for making sense.

I would go through an industry partner on this forum.  Brightflashlights or C4iGrant, as mentioned by Strazz is a good place to start.

Copy. Thank you, gentlemen. Being a geek-at-heart, I understand what you are saying vividly. I guess I was just hoping there was some way to make better sense of what I read here. Will try G and R-- he seems to have a grip on the bezels. I can't seem to get Brightflashlights' site to come up right now.

You need the 2005 Tactical Products Catalog.
It is about the most accurate and comprehensive guide to WeaponLights ever to be printed.

I understand you can download it from SureFire.com or I suggest you call and ask SureFire to send you it.

Bright flashlights does not have a URL site up.  But you can contact Calvin at [email protected] or call him at (352) 732-2156.  He can answer all your questions.
