I sold my two M900s recently. One of the new buyers says the LEDs aren't working. They worked before I sent it to him.

Seems to me, that when these things first came out, wasn't there a problem with the batteries and the LEDs? What I mean is, if you put the batteries in backwards/upside down, however you want to put it, wouldn't the main light still work but the LEDs won't?

Anybody remember? Could somebody check?
I think that was the problem/solution.
Thanks.....Chad

I seem to recall this issue too but like you do not readily recall the details. My suggestion would be to contact SureFire Tech Support (important you ask for Tech Support regarding the M900A).

Sounds about right. Incandesent bulb will light with batteries either way. LED's are diodes and will only work with correct polarity.

Yes. It still works that way. If you put the little cylinder for the batteries in backwards, the main light will go on but the LEDs won't. Not really a design flaw, as it suprising that it works at all with the batteries in the wrong way, and is easily corrected.

all light bulbs can work with reverse polarity but nor leds ,they will only function in one direction i would say that there is a 99.9 % chance that the batteries are in backwards

Thank you for the confirmation folks. The buyer switched the polarity this morning and the LEDs are good.
