I want an everyday carry light to replace my Streamlight Scorpion.  I would like something that has the capability to be a little brighter.

I am looking at the Surefire L2 which can go instantly from 15 lumens to 100.  This would be nice when I only need lowlight and then crank it for defense situation.

Also the E2e which is a flat 60 lumens which is nice and small and light.

Am I missing something or someone have something to add?

The SureFire L2 is what I carry everyday. I find it without a doubt to be the most useful flashlight I've every carried. I see nothing on the horizon that can beat the L2 as my EDC.

Have you ever used something like the E2e?  I am concerned about how bright the LED is compared to the Xeon bulb.

I was one of the first to try out the E2e (when they upgraded the E2 to the E2e). The E2e remains one of the most impressive flashlights since the 6P because it really changed how small we thought these already small lights could be - The E2e is compact and light-weight because it is so slim. It also has key attributes I find highly desireable:

LockOut TailCap (Clickie switch is being phased in)
Hard Anodised finish with excellent knurling for great grip
PocketClip - there are two lengths. I prefer the short one for the E2e
Extremely pure beam with extended runtime.
The bulb is robust and has one of the best life-spans
Upgrade options - two LED bezels - the KL1 and KL4

Since the E2e I've gained intensive use of the A2 - over 45 battery changes in a few months.
Then SureFire made the KL4 for the E2e (this became the L4).
I used that for a while but it wasn't until I was sent the L2 that I really experienced the advantage of regulated LED flashlights.

On high the L2's output is 100 Lumens. The E2e's output is 60 Lumens. The difference is clearly obvious from a flashlight that is about the same size only longer.

The benefits and drawbacks of LED light vs incandescent light can be discussed but its easier to help you decide whether LED light will be useful to you if we know what you want to use light for.
The L2's beam is not an intense spot for illuminating things at distance. It is more like a flood beam putting a large amount of light out for closer range.

If you are used to incandescent light then it may be a good idea to find somebody with an LED light to see whether it is what you are after.

I find the L2 extremely practical and useful. The only other flashlight I consider carrying (and do now and then) is the A2.
