I got an M3 Combat Light in a trade. Any suggestions on the mounts and rails to put it on my 16" AR in the most cost effective (or just plain cheapest) manner?

1" scope ring to mount the light to a rail. As for the mounting point on the rifle, there are various options but I'd probably consider a front sight base mount or 6 o'clock rail mount.
