I've been trying to find a reasonably priced weapon light for awhile, but I wanted an LED for durability reasons. I ended up getting the X03 and it's one hell of a light. I don't have light meters, etc. so I can't say if the rated 82 lumen output is accurate, but it appears to be a whole lot brighter than a Pelican M6 led and it throws a useable beam for a very good distance. The fit and finish is excellent and the anodizing appears to be much harder than other lights I've tried. I test mounted it using steel scope rings, slid it all around, rotated it under tension, etc. and it had no marks or scratches. The best thing is that it is regulated, so that you are supposed to get full brightness for 2 hours, then it starts to dim quickly. I got tired of lights that start bright and then start to progressively dim. If I need to use the light in an emergency, I want to know that fire up as bright as when the batteries went in it. I usually don't personal reviews on the net, and I'm no light expert or anything, but I don't think any better LED is out there yet for the price.

The Inova X03 may be the best LED light available so far - but I am witholding judgement pending testing.

I will test:

- SureFire 6P (reference)
- SureFire LumaMax L4
- SureFire LumaMax L5
- Inova X03

For brightness over time.

Will keep you posted.

I would be interested to see the results, especially the L5.
