Can the G2 be mounted on a AR?. Will it take the recoil? Sorry about my ignorance, but I would like to mount a light on my AR without breaking the bank. Or does anyone know of a good light in that price range ($40)? Thanks

If your budget is only $40, then the G2 is probably the place to start. If you can afford it, I'd try and add a Z32 shock isolated bezel for extra assurance.

Works like a champ on my M4, simply used a old 1" scope mount and my thumb, seems to hold up fine.

Same here. Picked up a few parts from Brightflashlights to help with it as well. The Z32 bezel is a big +1.
