| I want to add a weapon light to my KAC RAS. What do I need to get? I want something fairly small and light, but the batteries need to last decent. Any suggestions for what light to look for and how to go about mounting it? |
A SF Scout light might work well for you.... C4 www.gandrtactical.com |

Surefire Scout light or a std. E2E/E2D mounted up will get you an approx runtime of 75 min. with the std. MN03 lamp. However, you can instead choose the lower output MN02 lamp and get nearly twice the runtime with about 85-90% performance of the MN03. Also, with the E series & Scout lights you can use the new KL1 LED heads which have excellent performance and a peak output of 3-4 hours followed by degrading levels of output than can last much longer.* The X200A is another nice choice with a runtime of approx. 90 min. It's use would be for closer ranges out to approx. 35-40yds. There will soon be a new X200B 5w LED to play with but performance & runtime is unknown (to me) at this time. The X200 series is considered a handgun system but is adequate for CQB rifle use. * The newly redesigned KL1 needs to have some confirmed runtime test before I'll say the above quoted runtime is fact. |
