guys,

I am looking for a tactical flashlight for my M-4.

I heard that the M-3x comes with an extra light bulb and a pressurized remote on/off switch.

Is this true?

I went to the streamlight website and couldn't find anything regarding this.

Please help if you can.

Thanx

Try:   www.insightlights.com

You can also do a search for M3X.  That should give you a list to sort through of dealers.  Email them and ask for sure.

I think you are right but I cannot say for sure.

Man,

I am more confuse than ever.

Who actually makes the M-3x/M-6x?

Is it streamlight or insightlights?

ITI, and btw, the M3X doesn't come with a spare lamp like the original M3/M6 did.

It's the long gun setup which includes the tape switch.  I received a couple of M3X's with the std. backing plate this week but haven't had time to really play with one.  I can say this, it's definitely brighter over the orig. M3 and a fair bit more rugged.

I think this is how it goes...

Streamlight makes the M3X.  Insight Technologies owns Streamlight.  Or maybe it is the other way around.

It's trivial really.

Insight make the M-3 and it's brothers and sisters Streamlight retails them.

Insight also make the GlockLight, HK Light and a few others.

i've been thinking about getting one of these for my glock... i think the m3x would be a sweet cheaper handgun light with equal quality to typical surefires...

but for carbine tact. light... i'm going to with a surefire weapon light just cuz :D
