JM, take a look at Quantico Arms under the Industry community.  They have the tail caps your looking for. I too, was looking for the caps for my 6P.

I ordered one of the Brightflashlights non-surefire tape switches. It's solid, and I really like it. $25, IIRC.. It also shipped *very* quickly.

Hey Llama, I took I look at your pic. I too am considering purchasing that tape switch, thanks for the pic.

You have that Weaver ring mounted all the way to the rear of the light on the switch cap, is that how you have the light mounted to your weapon? I too have the G2 Nitrolon as a weapons light on my AR but went with two Weaver rings mounted side by side on the main body of the light. Was just wondering how solid your set up was.

It's very solid; the tailcap on that tape switch is a pretty solid metal piece. As an added bonus, since the rings aren't around the body of the light, I can just unscrew the body from my rifle, screw on the normal cap/button, and I have my original G2 back for normal use.

Have you done alot of shooting with the light mounted in this fashion? I'm thinking the light would vibrate more being secured so far back and cause the bulb to fail early, anyway we are talking about lights not intended for mounting on weapons to begin with. That's why I went with two rings and plan on buying a shock isolated bulb here soon.

I burned up about 100 rnds of XM193, and it wasn't really a problem. I'm actually pretty doubtful about the differences between normal/shock isolated bezels and assemblies. Time may cause me to eat my words, though.
