Hi

 I actually thought surefire
flashlights were waterproof so, I took my
6P and M962SU down to a swimming pool...
I brought both down to 3metres depth
(actually, I also took 552 Rev D.)

All three of them worked just fine...

However I later realised that they are
water-resistant, not 'waterproof'.

BTW 552's reticle looks funny underwater:)

Lol great job, looks like you got some SureFire lights to spare in case they weren't water resistent/proof.  My watch is water proof down to 4000ft/1220m, I think I'll just take the watch maker's words for it [;)]

Many SureFires are designed to be waterproof. They are spec'd as highly water-resistant.

Currently, only specific models specifically tested by SureFire are "certified" waterproof. Normally these carry the "N" (Navy) waterproof to 100ft/30m depth rating although Classic WeaponLights use "H" and "K" (refers to the switch)

I use my Surefire M3 for scuba diving, and have had it many times down past 100ft.  It definitely gives other divers on the boat flashlight envy.
