For the first time we had a practical rifle match with 2 stages shot after dark.
weapons mounted light was recommended Not a problem with my CQB rifle but with my match rifle with alum forearm i acted quick and purchased the GG&G M-3 mount with light and tape switch and i was good to go,so i thought. After rushing to get rifle set up then standing in the rain for 3 1/2 during the day part of the match i am called to the line to shoot in the dark and i mean dark and after first shot light no longer works.Brand new.Is it bad luck or should i have stuck with surefire.

I'd hold off until you know what went wrong.  I hve two M3's and both have given me excellent service.

Surefire is a much better product but still prone to failure...I like the M3 on a pistol backed up by a Surefire hand held, but on a rifle I prefer Surefire lights...Just my .02
