Hello all!  I just built my first AR-15 and am loving it.  My only complaint so far is that the stock is too short.  I am 6'6" with pretty long arms and the adjustable stock on my lower doesn't extend quite far enough.  I've done a bit of basic research and found that there are extensions you can mount on the end but I was wondering if there were other options out there for someone in my predicament, particularly if extended length adjustable stocks are out there somewhere.  That would be ideal to me I think but am open to any suggestions or advice you all may have.  Thanks!!

I'm 6'-0" and have long arms, and I generally shoot with my SOPMOD two clicks out from fully collapsed. At full extension, you should be fine at 6'-6". It's possible your shooting position could use some work rather than the stock.

What stock do you use right now? Even a SOPMOD is decently longer than the shitty plastic M4 stock.

Stop chicken winging your rifle. Now the stock is not too short. Problem solved.

I bought my lower complete.  The link is below.  It doesn't give a model number or anything like that but there is a picture.

Your M4 style buttstock are the among shortest length stocks, take a look at the Vltor EMOD, Magpul ACS, etc, or any stocks that have longer length than your stock.

If those longer stocks are not enough maybe install the Law Tactical gen 3 folding stock adapter that will add more length to your buffer tube.

Lastly shoot more square to the target rather than shooting bladed like the traditional rifle match shooting stance, maybe consider taking some carbine classes (or shooting video instructions).

Run the stock all the way out, maybe try a longer handguard out near the muzzle, square your body to the target and I like my stock more in toward the chest than your actual shoulder pocket.

Should help a bit. You could add a rubber pad on the end as well.
