i'm torn between getting a larue mk2 soft case or a pelican hard case. now I have a jeep so space is limited on the interior but I also don't want the firearm to get damaged from offroading in a soft case. those who have or know about the larue case, do you think the padding is enough to protect the firearm? thanks for the input!

I run a soft Blackhawk inside a Pelican when my rifle is in the bed of the truck.

If I put the rifle in the cabin, I just use the soft case.

Plenty. Find a place to strap it to in the back so it doesn't flop around no matter what soft case you buy. I have a roof rack on my 2015 Tacoma and carry rifles in Pelican cases there as well.

I really do like the idea of running a soft case in a hard case for when it is needed.

I like my Blackhawk soft case.  Protects my rifle well for just about anything it would be put through in my possession and with the stock collapsed the case can be folded over to fit in tighter spaces.

I went with the Vanquest Rackit 36, and have been extremely pleased. The quality is top-notch and it has the added plus of being designed to look like a sports bag.
