Hey everyone. Kinda new here and I love the amount of info here. I'm looking for a hard case to fit my 308AR into, along with spare mags and a supressor. Need it to lock also. I know pelican makes great cases, was wondering if any other ones out there that offer same protection at a little bit lower price. <200.00?

Any input would be great.

I am curious too. I know Plano makes a hard case box kinda like Pelican. they run no more than $200.

Depends on how tough you are on your toys. Plano is a great light duty case. If it's just going to the range I would look into these. If you are going to be beating the crap out of it get a Pelican.

Spend the 200 bux and get the Pelican.  You won't regret it.

This. I'm making the transition to Pelicans after lesser cases I had broke. Pelicans are a lifetime investment.

B&H photo usually has the best prices on pelicans of every size.  They are the single largest buyer behind the US government.

I have a few of these plano cases.  If you keep your eye out, you can get the 36" one for about $55 on sale.

the price on the 42 at the moment is about as low as they go.

I like them and recommend them for the price.  my only complaint would be the pick n pluck foam that comes in them.
