Kind of tired of the vertical grip. Been thinking about the AFG for my rifle. I do have a MOE Hand Guard, Carbine-Length on it. Not sure if I can even use the AFG with this forend. Thanks for any and all responses! ;) |

Yes, the AFG2 I got does not fit or feel good to me. The AFG2 is slimmer. It still requires a picatinny rail, which lowers it slightly. This made me to bend my wrist at a uncomfortable angle. Went back to the vertical grip, but moved it as far to the rear as possible. This will allow me to hold the rifle like any other rifle and still have the option of a tighter vertical hold if wanted. I can see where the AFG would be more of a greater use on a longer AR's forend. Thanks for all the responses. I guess sometimes you got to just try for yourself! |

I also prefer a further foward hold and went with the Fortis short angled grip. I feel more in control when holding the rail, but needed just a bit of angle to relax the wrist angle. It comes in picatinny and key mod types of attachment.

| My DD came with a long vertical grip on it 9-in rail. Replaced it immediately with a Magpul angled grip. After a few months, I then replaced it with a shorty vertical grip. The shorty has been there ever since. Though the angled grip was comfortable enough, it did take up a lot of real estate. Also, I use the shorty as a stop for my hand, not as something to grab onto. This keeps me from tensing my forearm more than need be. |

Quoted: I bought an AFG and had it on the gun for about 5 minutes and took it off. I just didn't care for how it felt. |
