Recently I stepped "Out Side the Box" of the Norm of the A2 Front Sight Post... KNS has some Very Nice Sight Post to match my shooting Preferences.....  I thought I would share them..... SASS  |
| I run the KNS crosshair sights on my 5.56 & 9mm ARs, and just ordered one for my AK as well. One of the better mods to my rifles. They come in several version, regular & duplex wire and flat & hooded. The hooded type looks like it would protect the crosshairs better since I'd assume they're kinda fragile but the flat type doesn't shade the wires and is easier to see in shady conditions. The fine wires can be hard to see against black targets but the outer ring is great for fast targeting. The only downside is that you have to adjust in half turns instead of quarter turns, and if I could make one change I'd like to see a Hi Viz color option for the crosshairs. |

| I have ran them on both a FAL and a .308 AR. On the FAL I never could get it to adjust low enough to zero properly [gun's fault, not the sight]. On the .308 AR, I shot a high-power match with it and was pleasantly surprised that it worked somewhat like an aperture on a target sight. I didn't like it at all for anything fast, I found myself spending a lot more time and effort "aiming" than normal. I have a friend that uses one that is broken and only has the bottom post of the crosshair left as a super fine front sight post. I don't know if I could make that work, but he seems to do ok at the matches... |
