I would like some suggestions for a sling. What works and what would I need?
My AR has a free floating hand guard (Troy VTAC TRX Battle Rail) My butt stock has the sling mount at the back but I have no other mount. I don't plan on doing a lot of hiking with it but I wuld like to be able to reload a magazine or walk up to my target without finding a place to set the gun down. |

I like the Boonie Packer slings a lot. I use the 2P Tactical Quick Adjustable on 3 of my guns. Excellent quality and great price. http://www.redi-mag.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=26 |

Well,
I use a single point on my personal carbine...it's also highly modified and very basic...no lose straps...etc... But like I said in another thread...it's personal preference... Why do you wear briefs vs boxers... Any sling that help you do the task that weapon is slated for is a good choice... I say try every sling you can...and you will feel when it's good... I can run fine with my single point...but I also have a two point sling that's custom for my bipod ar. Bret |

I make my own out of paracord cheap strong and can be made how you want it.

| I have the Blue Force Gear VCAS and the padded Viking VTAC 2 points. I feel the BFC VCAS is the better made sling both in quality of materials and design. Both work well though. For a front attatchment on your rail try the Impact Weapons Components Mount-N-Slot QD cup, it is excellent. |
