| I would like to locate a hardcase for my new M4 with an optic. It has a 6 position stock and 18" barrel so it can get pretty small. I would like the case to be lockable becase I live in California and that would help. Airline approved would be nice but not necessary. Last: I would like it to be moderately priced (under $100) with parts available here in the USA. Thanks for your consideration... |

ThugCase is a true covert and protective weapons system carrier designed and produced in the USA by vets. The outer shell is made from heavy thermoplastic with protective molded lining. Velcro straps are installed to secure contents. Each case includes a lockable latch. The ThugCase unique design might initially appear as just clever, but in todays environment of high crime, the ability NOT to display what you are carrying can avoid unwanted attention to potential thieves. Traditional assault weapon soft cases not only advertise what you are transporting, but offer little protection for the weapon or optics. Weapon assembly and disassembly with current issue takedown pins takes just seconds and will not affect the zero of the weapon. |

You might find something used in the $100 range if you keep your eyes open. Otherwise I would suggest a Pelican 1700, I got one complete with foam from Fry's Electronics for $160 if memory serves.... cheapest I could find it anywhere but did have to special order.

My les Paul is worth more than any of my rifles. Bad guys know this too. |

I was about to order and cut new foam for my pelican 1700... It's just a 35" pelican case and a 34" eagle industries discreet LE case inside. Eagle industries case has mag pouches in the outer pouch as well as pals webbing so just the rifle goes in the main compartment and all the accessories go in the outer compartment. You can get the soft case at a great price right now as well http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=EYDCCAR15LER&src=sim |

Is the linked case the one you are running? It's listed as only 32" long.

No two websites seem to list the same dimensions on the Eagle LE discreet cases. mine is 34.75" on the inside inspite of the advertised length. Thank you very much. I'll be ordering two of them tonight. |

I bought a used Pelican from a friend for $100 without the foam inserts about a month ago. I brought my Spike's Tactical soft case with me before I purchased it and when everything fit perfectly, I just plunked down the cash and said....."SOLD"!!! http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab151/buddah671/Guns/PicsArt_1351401434434.jpg http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab151/buddah671/Guns/20121028_151352.jpg http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab151/buddah671/Guns/20121028_151517.jpg Thats a great fit. |

I got 2 of them. The ones walmart had were 35" or 36" models. I am not so sure that an 18" barrel will fit it very well. I have my Colt LE6920 in one and lengthwise it is pretty close. That said, the cases are the best buy going. Tough built. Has the pressure relief screw. Gasket sealed. 5 locks. TOUGH! Quoted: Quoted: plano makes one. im going to give it a whirl.... Last year after Thanksgiving Walmart was blowing them out for $40.00 Not a bad case for the money. I've still got mine. |
