Any recommendations? Just want a good value (i.e. good pric for what you get, not necessarily cheap) for a general purpose range bag to carry misc stuff and have a place for essentials (scope allen wrench, extra mags, etc.).

Was looking at the cabelas bag for $50. Usually like cabelas stuff but this doesn't have any reviews. Larue also seems to have a nice bag but more coin....

Go to Midway and get their Large Range Bag, on the same page as their med range bag. sorry to be so vague, but it's late and I don't have the part number handy. usually runs around $60-70 dollars, but often you can get it on sale for $44.99 as I did. Either way, it's a great bag with plenty of room. Has an inside bag for ammo, and PLENTY of room for everything else. It will last a lifetime. jmtcw  44.

+2 on the MidwayUSA bag. Very nice quality. I went with the large and for a trip to the range with one or two handguns it is always full.

Same I use a nice zipper craftsmen bag works great holds all my gear well. Ammo, spotting scope, 2 pistols, oil, targets, blah blah. Was about 20$ and it's very well made and holds the weight.

I've had a Maratac for some years now and it has worked great. A guy at a recent class had the Midway bag. It looks to be very functional and made well. He said you can find them on sale from time to time for around $40 - $50.

Another vote for the Midway large bag.  Great features, lots of separate pockets, holds practically everything you need.   Actually, it's almost TOO big!  When mine is fully loaded with ammo and three handguns it's pretty heavy.  Great great great value for the money.

+3. I just got this bag and it is great. Comes with removable tote, a sack for spent brass, and two pistol pouches. It has lots of pockets and lots of room. I am very happy with it.

ETA: Link to the one I got.

I have a Galati range bag and two rifle cases. Galati is made out of pretty tough material and holds up for decades.

Craftsman tool bags is what I use.  I have one for cleaning and one for gun specific tools I have accumulated.  Wait till Sears, Lowes, Home depot put the tool bags on sale and buy one.

I ordered a bipod and mount from LT so I went ahead and got the LT range bag.  Thanks to everyone for suggestions.

Midway carries the best range bag I have ever used at the Best Price..Even has an attached brass bag. Will hold virtually anything for a day at the range including 4 pistols, ammo, magazines, cleaning supplies, suppressors, etc etc.
Lots of room and lots of pockets.I was using a Glock Range bag for years that i loved, but it is half the size of the Midway and will not hold everything you may need at the range....The Midway will!
Without hesitation. I recommend the large size Midway Range Bag.Excellent product, tough and huge volume to hold everything.

I used to use one of the Midway packs, but loaded out with all my stuff and a bunch of ammo, it did not carry well,

I am now using one of these-

and it is AWESOME as a range bag!
