OK, I'm looking at the new GG&G XDS-2 Tactical Bipod:  http://www.gggaz.com/xds-2-tactical-bipod.html

It's relatively new to the marketplace, and I can't find much info out about it.

Harris seems to be a well respected name - with a rail adaptor for it, it would be about half the cost:

Any thoughts/recommendations?

IMO, I would go Harris.  I was recently in the same boat and decided to go the Harris BRMS.  As they say, no one get's fired for hiring IBM

The most popular would be a Harris S-BRM bipod on a LaRue, ADM, or non-QD mount. And there's also the Atlas, GG&G Extreme, Versa-Pod, TangoDown Advanced Combat, Vltor ModPod, and Grip Pod.

I 've got the GG&G Heavy Duty, and it's a great bipod. The lockup is much better than the Harris.

Another vote for the Larue b/c that's what I have.

Atlas makes a nice bipod as well.

I don't like the swivel versions.  They fall over too easy.

See that big knob on the back? Amazing invention, you turn it and the bipod doesn't swivel until you turn it again.
