| Hey guys. I got a MWG today that I ordered for my RRA from Amazon. I read the reviews and some said it fit theirs and some ppl said it didn't fit. I read a article saying that they now make em so that they fit a more variety of AR lowers instead of the intended Colt. The left side of the grip is the part that is giving me troubles and the right hand side fits perfect. Do you guys think I should see if Amazon can get me a newer one that can fit or by chance has anyone (or know of someone) ordered one recently from a company that sells these and has it installed on a LAR-15 lower? |

Who makes the part? Amazon sells from a lot of vendors. Just out of curiousity, what is your reason for wanting this thing? They really only make sense on an AR pistol style build. I'm looking at amazon now and I see about 2 dozen other upgrades that are 20x more helpful for an AR setup.
Also keep in mind that the part most likely obscures the serial number on the rifle. this was an issue with the ATF at one point and they began to only sell MWG with windowed cut outs for the Serial #. Amazon has a very good return policy but imo i don't think its gonna do you much good. The reviews all seems to suggest that it involves a ton of dremeling regardless. |

I picked one up for my wife's rifle. It's a real tight fit around the mag well- you really have to torque the screws for the fit. But PWR's right- it will require some dremeling around the inside of the well itself (the plastic, not the lower receiver!!!) because magazines won't "free fall" out. It really is a cheaply made Chinese product, not something like Magpul quality at all. And I didn't expect it to be quality made for $15!
