My AR-15 is exactly 33 3/8" long with the stock collapsed.  I am looking at the Blackhawk! 34" case, part No. 64RC34BK.  Does anyone know if this will work or is it too small?

Thanks

While you might be able to get it in, I would rather have a couple of extra inches at either end.

The small bit of extra space provides some impact protection, and keeps the rifle from abrading the interior of the case.  My Gen I Tac Latch has worn a hole through the inner lining, into the padding of my soft case, and I have returned to using the original charging handle.  Ballistic nylon can wear on a finish over time, as well.

Hit a local music store and pick up a Fender or Gibson patch.  No one gives me a second look checking into a hotel with my "guitar".

Thanks for the info.  I think you are correct in that it will be just way too tight.  The discreet aspect is a good idea also.  I am leaning towards a 27" takedown case.  It's a lot more compact and is discreet. I will at the guitar case option too.

I have the 34" Blackhawk case and my 32 1/2" collapsed AR is the longest AR you would want to put in it.
I also got a deal on it at Optics Planet.

Just to be clear, I wasn't suggesting a guitar case, just a little camouflage with a guitar patch sewn or velcroed (is that a word?) onto a discreet case.  "Hide in plain sight".

Got the Blackhawk 37".  Fits perfect.  Great quality and good price.

That's the one to get - I've had mine for several years and love it.

The other advantage is that it will fit my 14.5", 16" and 18" configurations.  One case, three missions.  Nice.
Thanks to all for the inputs.
BTW, is a well made case and looks nice.
