I need a sling for my AR, problem is that there are a bunch of manufactures out there making them.

What do yall use?  What is good? and what is bad?

I am just thinking about holding out until the Magpul MS3 sling comes out, but the date of 'Winter' is pretty vague as to when it is going to be released.

I also saw this sling by Condor. People on here say Condor is Airsoft crap, is that really true?

Thanks for the help,

It really depends on what you are going to be using your rifle for the most...a little more info would be good.

Personally, I've found that the Vickers VCAS workes best for me.

I am looking for a 2 to one point sling.   Is condor brand crap or not?  Is it GTG as far as slings go?

BFG VCAS, Emdom Gunslinger or VTAC

I have not heard much about that Condor brand slings around here, sorry.

My favorite are the two point sling type like Vickers VCAS, LaRue Tactical (made for them by Viking Tactics), and Gear Sector GS-2P.

Any two point slings could be converted to a single point type using the 2 to 1 point triglide convertible QD sling adaptor made by IWC (see link below).

There are different styles of using a sling, some like to have tension while firing, also snug to the body while carrying, for these type of uses I use my LaRue and Gear Sector slings.

Some prefers to have the sling loose when using and the Vickers is designed for that use.

I am 110% satisfied with BOTH of my Troy Battle Slings.

I'm just a gun enthusiast, not a spec ops ninja warrior, but the Troy two point sling is VERY well made, very well designed, and has a very nice quick adjustment strap on it that you don't see on many other slings.

I have a  bunch of Condor equipment that I'm happy with.  My entire active shooter vest that I keep in my trunk on duty is Condor (plate carrier w/ level 4 plates, 6 mag pouches and 3 other misc pouches).  I also run a Condor one point bungee sling on my duty rifle that I haven't had any problems with.  I run a one point because I'm left handed and the three point sling would hang in front of the ejection port, and I just dont like shooting with a two point sling, personal preference.

Thanks for the confidence boost.  All along I have heard from guys that Condor quality has gotten so bad that it was only good for airsoft players.  That talk kind of spooked me.  The only condor products I own at the moment are a triple mag pouch, and an OD green Shemagh, and they both are holding up well.

UNLESS everyone agrees they are crap or I hear it from someone I trust, I take it with a grain of salt.  Its like the ford versus chevy argument, chevy guys swear fords are crap and ford guys swear chevys are crap, but its all opinion...

Some people on here don't like Condor products.  I asked about a condor plate carrier and I was told it was it was made for air soft stuff.  Most people on here like TAG and other high end brands like that. You are right, it is all opinion.  I just need to make up my mind and go with it.

The BFG VCAS, Emdom Gunslinger, and VCAS slings, can all be found for $30-45 each (affordable), and we know they are good to go. However, Condor is another story, and unless its super cheap, why would anyone look at it? But go with what you want. I will say this though: you get what you pay for.

Boonie packer slings are very reasonably priced, as as good quality as anything out there.
