I had an ASP for a number of years.  It was/is a great single point. High quality, durable, and functional.  If a single point best suits your needs, that is the one my experience dictates will serve you best.

As an aside, the only reason I got rid of my ASP was because I tried a VCAS and it was love at first use.  All my AR's now wear VCAS slings.

Check out Gear Sector or P.I.G. Mk-2 drop slider padded single point.  My personal preference on all slings is to have padding but to each there own.  The VCAS Cobra looks pretty neat but $100 + for a sling

+1 on the Gear Sector slings.  Hands down some of the best gear out there!

I use a padded Troy Industries 1pt sling on my AR pistol.  It's very comfy.
