I love the cheekweld of my current sopmod, but I would like something more convenient for use in prone and from sandbags. I think the protective enclosure over the stock latch is exactly what I'm looking for.
How comparable is the cheekweld on the acs vs that of the sopmod? Will the acs lock up as tight on my buffer tube as the sopmod? Does the acs have qd sling mounts? |

The ACS cheekweld is definitely just as good as the SOPMOD, in my opinion. The stock locks up quite solid, and the friction lock ensures there's absolutely NO movement. A QD sling point can be had for $15 more, if I remember correctly. It simple uses a mounting hole to attach to the stock. Rotation of the sling is blocked by the side tube, so you don't get all tangled up.
Overall, I think the ACS is a great stock, and it's a good alternative to the SOPMOD. |

Personally I really love both but the Magpul is nicer! Not only is the cheek weld nicer than the SOPMOD but the fit is tighter, has an excellent locking lever and overall is cheaper! Sorry LMT...the Magpul is more affordable and nicer!  Not to mention it's easier to get to your battery storage compartments and comes with an extra storage compartment. ACS ftw!
