For anyone interested, County Comm currently has a bag which is a copy of the SO Tech GO Bag Extended, for 50% of the SO Tech price tag. LINK TO COUNTY COMM
Materials are listed as being decent quality (YKK zippers, 1000D cordura), the only thing different being that it is 3" longer, and has no external pockets like the SO Tech. The SO Tech padded insert available from SKD Tactical should fit the County Comm bag, as they are both listed as 6" x 6". I will report back once mine arrives. Disclaimer: I am not associated in any way with County Comm, or SKD Tactical, but have shopped with both companies in the past and been satisfied with the level of service and products received. |
| I have one of their original sat-com bags and it is very well made. I was looking at these this morning thinking about ordering one and speculating on the insert I would need to build to go in it. Are you saying someone is making an insert for this or a similar bag? |

Are you saying someone is making an insert for this or a similar bag? SKD Tactical sells a padded insert made by SO Tech which fits the Go Bag, designed for broken down weapons (i.e. 2 piece AR15). It is $10, and should fit the County Comm bag. http://www.skdtac.com/S_O_Tech_Padded_Insert_for_Go_Bag_Extended_SGB_X_p/sot.501.htm |

Probably a good bag, but I wouldn't call it even semi-discrete. Foliage green or FDE + Molle loops just screams "GUN BAG!!!". It screams "something militaristic" but not necessarily "gun." The whole bag is 26" long, which means most sheeple won't assume gun, but maybe carried by a gun owner. Remember, our friendly media portrays the AR15 as a big black baby killing machine, so how would it fit into a 26 x 6 x 6 bag? |

my County Comm satcom xl bag arrived today, and I am very happy with this purchase. the quality is very good, and it is exactly what the description says it is. I ordered the SKD insert for it today, so I should have it up and going by this weekend. (I'm still waiting on my scopt to arrive, since I have a naked LaRue mount sitting on my rifle right now.) The 26" overall length should leave plenty of room inside for any additional accessories such as ear pro.
If County Comm has any of these left, don't miss out! |

I did a review with pics of the XL bag in the Tactical Gear section, for use carrying my climbing gear.

This is about as low profile as you can get - carries an assembled AR / AK easily. http://www.motivators.com/images/products/PromotionalFoldingChairWithCarryingBag70502.jpg This is what I used until I got my Cav Arms discreet rifle bag - and it will work if you replace the stock cord with something heavy duty like paracord. No one will be the wiser. |
