If you were to make your first modification to your AR15 or add an accessory to it, what would it be?

If its a flat top..sights and or a good optic then work from there. Most likely you are gonna spend the most money on optics/lights, railed handguards and stock. Most of the other stuff is less expense comfort factor . I.e. grips, sling etc.. It realy depends on what you are going to use it for. If its for All purpose I would get the optic and learn how to use it first.

and Ammo of course

I only have five AR for now and when I bought my last one a couple of months ago this is what I usually do to modify my firearms.

Troy BUIS
Vickers/ Viking/ Gear Sector two point sling
Surefire light
Red dot sight
Rails
VFG
Magpul MIAD/ MOE grip
Magpul/ Vltor stock

... and at least 20 mags per AR but you could start with 4 to 7 mags at first.

Hmmm, that reminded me I need 14 more mags.

Depends on our starting poing, but I agree, if a flattop I'd put BUIS and a good optic on it.

#1 good two point sling
#2 whatever it takes or you like to mount a light.

Im a big fan of mastering the irons before optics are added.

Irons are fine. Put a light on it!

Ergo grip is the first thing I do with all my AR's. All the other mods do no good if you can't hang onto it!!
