The Omega is a drop in easy installation free float rail. Takes about 10 mins to install.

The Omega X need to be installed with a DD lite barrel wrench (like the lite rails)but once installed the rail itself can be removed easily for maintenance, etc.

Both are rock solid but the Omega is so convenient that if it fits your application, it's a great choice.

Most concise description of the differences I have seen around here.

I have a 7" Omega rail, black that I have set back. I picked it up in a couple of trade deals. It looks like it was mounted, but thats it, excellent, could probably pass for new. Has the box.

$210 shipped CONUS sound good?

This was probably better sent as an IM to the OP as opposed to posted in this thread.

I like the OmegaX or the lite.  It looks like the upper and the handguard are one piece.  I have the 9 inch lite on my carbine and it looks pretty cool with the gas block covered by the rail.

I have an OmegaX 9" on my BCM middy. I love how it looks like one piece, rather than 2 on most weapons you see floating around. And it's great quality. Can't go wrong with any DD rails, really.

Ive got two of the omega 7 inch rails on 14.5 uppers with pinned flash hiders, they are extremely nice rails.
