Besides Harris Bipods, what bipods are people using ? I have a Larue 18" Stealth I'm going to be purchasing a bipod for soon. Any users of the Tangodown, Vltor , GG&G or other brands have any opinions/reviews ?

I have used Harris bipods for years, I have no use for the "tacticool" stuff on the market.

I have used several including Tango Down (very nice), Vltor (similar to Tango Down - also very nice), but the Bobro is hands down the nicest bi-pod on the market right now! PERIOD!!!!

I have a Harris on my AR and a cheap, $35 Wal Mart Rock Mount on my .22 WMR. I have used the Rock Mount on the AR with no problems, but I replaced it with a Harris. You should be good to go with either.
ETA: Both are 6-9''

Thanks for all the info guys .
I have only ever used Harris bipods. Really just wanted to try something different for this rifle build. Got a few options to think about .

I put one of the $35 wal-mart rock mounts on my 300 win mag. The rock mount works but rusts like crazy, not worth the money in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more. I will have to post some pics of mine. I got the one that LaRue took apart and rebuilt with the larger knob in the rear for the tension.
