| Depends on whether you will use the 'standard' sling that uses the loop on the bottom of the buttstock and the one under the front sight or one of the specialty slings that allow various carrying/shooting modes such as 'patrol carry'. These slings may be attached with straps/Velcro to the handguard as you mentioned and to the buttstock. Check 'you tube' and see if you can find any sling tutorials/demonstrations - its hard to convey the different possibilities by writing - you need to see how they work and how they're used. |
