Looking to get my first sling for my AR, so I've been looking at a lot of setups to figure out which way to go. Complicating things is the Redi-mag I have on my rifle. It seems most folks are anchoring the forward end of the sling close to the reciever which will interfere with reloads using the Redi-mag. So, what type of 2 point sling are folks running with their Redi-mags? How much of a hassle would it be running a sling from the back of the reciever to the muzzle end of the forearm?
I'm currently thinking of a dual purpose sling, 2 point and single point such as the Magpul MS2, or BDS Tactical dual sling so I have the option to try both configurations. Thanks for any help you can offer. |

I run the MS2 with Redimag on an SBR. I constantly switch from single point to 2 point and back, swiftly ,with no problems.
I am using the MI non rotating swivel for the 2 point configuration. I find it easier than trying to capture a rotating swivel with the MS2 snap. Assuming your front attach point is on a quad rail, it will be above your Redimag. Bells & Whistles!, Enjoy |
