Howdy all -

I'm in need of some rail covers again, the ladder type. I've used up my supply of Ergos and know that MagPul and maybe others now make ladder style covers. Question is: Are there any appreciable differences in the ladder covers made by the various manufacturers? Are they made of basically the same materials, or are they different? Do some work/fit/protect better than others?

As I said, I know the Ergos, so if you're using something you consider better, please let me know how they might be better. MagPuls, I think are made of "santoprene"; is that material softer/stiffer/any different than Ergo's material?

Thanks. Any comments or information would be appreciated.

I havent used anything but the Surefire ones, and I find them to work well...especially at the price of 5 bucks a piece (3 for 15).

Five bucks apiece or 3 for 15? Wow! that 3 for 15 is a great savings over five bucks apiece!

I was trying to show that they come in packs of 3.  Many of the others come one per package...often at like 7-10 bucks a piece.

Magpul ladder covers are made by ERGO-Falcon Industries. Says it on their description.

The old Magpul/Ergo covers were great.  The new hard material sucks and makes install and removal a painin the ass.  Surefire is the only one to get now, especially at the price.
