Can yall give me some good suggestions on a 3 point sling? I've looked at the BLACKHAWK SWIFT but who else makes a good sling?
Thanks Rebel |

whats the difference between the CQB, SOP and CST 3 point slings i one better than the other? CQB: Basically the standard Specter Gear 3-point sling - 1.25” Webbing, no Transition Release Buckle (TRB) SOP: is the CQB but with 1.5” webbing (flexible 1" attachment straps at each end added to facilitate Patrol Ready Carry), comes with Transition Release Buckle (TRB) CST: 1.25” Webbing, comes with Transition Release Buckle (TRB) All three sling models are available with or without the optional Emergency Release Buckle (ERB) The TRB is basically a buckle that allows the user to quickly add slack to the sling for quick left/right shoulder transitions. The ERB allows users to rapidly and efficiently disengage the slung weapon from their body (basically breaks the sling in two). Which sling you select would be based on the features you feel you need. |

One more question: if im using a surefire m500a fore end can i still use any of these slings or does the light get in the way? Thanks Personally, I'm not sure I'd recommend using a 3-point sling with that forearm. What type of front sling mount does your carbine have? |

If you mount the front of your sling to the standard sling swivel under the sight post the carbine will have a tendency to cant itself when carrying the carbine in the patrol mode.
Most 2-point and 3-point slings are designed to perform optimally when mounted on the side of the carbine. I would suggest adding a sling mount like this: Side Mount Sling Swivel. This swivel mounts on the barrel under the sight post and the swivel portion of the mount sits to the side. As far as using a 3-point sling on a carbine with the M500 Surefire, you may find that the inboard portion of the sling will hinder your access to the switches on the forearm. The inboard webbing will be laying directly on them. This may or may not be an issue for you. I personally would probably go with a good quick adjustable 2-point. |

As far as good 2-point slings go, I recommend these:
Blue Force Gear Victory Series Two-Point Sling (a good value priced sling) VCAS Double A Model Gear Secter GS-2P Carbine Edition Sling |
