I see these new vickers slings with "Patent Pending High Strength Acetal Quick Adjuster molded in Ghillie-Tex™ resin".  What is this?  And why are the slings with this on them actually a little cheaper than the same original vcas without the acetal adjuster?  Thanks for the help.  I Hope everyone is enjoying their 4th.

Plastic vs metal adjuster.

I'm guessing it's cheaper because one adjuster is plastic and one is steel

Give Ashley at Blue Force a call and he can answer this for you. I've got two original VCAS slings from him and I'm very happy with them.

Yup, one has a plastic adjuster buckle and the other metal, that is the only difference.  I own one of each and they are both excellent.  Unless you really want the metal buckle, save a few $ and get the cheaper one.

Plastic glide is much quieter as it won't rub on your lower, also if you are a safe junkie it won't scratch your lower.  It's just as effective as the metal one.

Just to give you an idea of its popularity, since we have been offering the VCAS Double A Model with the Acetal slider it has been outselling the original VCAS sling at about 10 to 1.

Also, remember that ALL the rest of the buckles on both the original VCAS and the Double A Model are made of (and have been) the same Acetal (Ghillie-Tex™ resin) material.

You can purchase and deploy the Double A Model without any worries!
