I dont even use a VFG anymore but the FUG is indeed the best VFG made.
Adjustable length Great ergonomic shape with ot without pressure pads Spots for 0,1, or 2 pressure pads Best QD mechanism Least rough transition area from grip to mount when using a thumbs up grip Best possible storage While aluminum, it is as light as a TD plastic grip (I was most shocked by this as I expected it to be heavy like a Deiter) Every VFG has something I can bitch about... the Bobro has sharp edges on the grip to mount transition and it has no pressure pad spots. The TD has a difficult to use mount in its stadard form, only has 1 pressure pad spot and when you mount the cover it has this odd sidways egg shaped profile. The Dieter is not QD and weighs a ton. KAC is light and cheap but not QD, has to have the rail covers in front removed to remove it, no pressure pad spots and no storage without an aftermarket unit. The list goes on and on. The FUG? Its only possible negative is the price. |
They said it should be back in stock this week, can't wait to try it out.
