I have an Olympic ML2 16" bull bbl, with a freefloat tube, and an a2 buttstock. i would like to do a sling, but i dont know if i want to do 2 point, 3 point or what ever. i hunt with this rifle, so if i have to i can install a sling stud on the front, which i might do anyway to mount a bipod. would some of these strap on sling adapters work on my freefloat tube? also what brand and style do yall like??? thanks

I have a few different style slings for my AR's I like the one that I got from LaRue the best for hunting because it is fast to draw into position than a standard pack it over the shoulder on your back hunting sling. Go to LaRue page and check it out and watch the little demo slide show they have for it. good luck with you sling quest
Check out the Magpul ASAP (go to ar15 new prducts page or Magpul.com). This sling will allow you to use your sling in both single and 2 point mode of carry. The single point is great for CQB, but the 2 point would be great for hunting. The 2 point would allow more comfortable (for a longer period of time) carry of your rifle while you move from spot to spot. You can purchase any number of rail mounts for the forward portion of your sling to switch to 2 point. Check out the thread I mentioned as some are discussing what works. Hope this helps a little.

I have this sling and it's a good choice IMHO for what you say you require the sling to be used doing.

well, i went out and bought a spec-ops T.H.E. Mamba. they let my play with it before buying it, and it was really comfortable, and the best part is that i can switch from one to two to three point sling. but just by playing with it, was really comfortable on my oly. so far im happy with it. thanks for the input and help.
