Ok, I'm a newbie and I am not sure what will fit my AR-15.

I have a Bushmaster 30th Anniversary Edition AR-15:

Bushmaster lists a Harris Bi-Pod on their site (HE-002). Will that fit my rifle just as it is, or will I need to buy anything else to make it work correctly?

Thanks in advance. :)

On Harris's website they sell an adaptor for your quad rail.

Thanks. I'll look into that.

I browsed around on some of the site advertisers' websites and came across this:

Anyone know for sure if that would fit?

From Larue site

"Our adjustable base attaches to any MIL-1913 picatinny rail. Complete with necessary hardware, tools and Instructions."

It the Bushmaster rail picatinny spec?  I can only assume it will work and would be surprised if it does not.

I ended up E-Mailing LaRue and they said it should fit. I guess that's another thing I get to buy on top of everything else I've purchased in the last 2 months

Welcome to ARFCOM.

Your AR is sold by Bushmaster complete with a QD Swivel Stud screwed into the bottom of the quad rail. You can attach a Harris Bipod directly onto the swivel stud. The Harris Bipod also has a swivel stud you can then hook your QD sling swivel into, if you want, so you don't need to buy any adapters! I use the short benchrest (BR) version for both benchrest target shooting and load development, and prone hunting.

I believe (check this out) that you also have a sling swivel stud on your telestock. If so, you may also want to run a CTK Precision P3 Ultimate Mono-pod, model #MPOD1. This is not sold by Bushmaster but can be obtained from CTK Precision. This allows you to precisely adjust the rear height and allows you better shots at targets or varmints.

I hope this helps.

Just wanted to check back in on my topic. I ended up buying my bi-pod from LaRue Tactical. I bought their Harris Bipod BMR-S and LT706 QD Swivel Mount Combo. When I first got it and tried to put it on, it didn't seem like it would fit. It seemed like my rails were just slightly too big for it to attach to and so I almost sent it back, but then discovered that my picatinny rails had rubber guards on them from Bushmaster. I had to use a knife to get them off, but I finally got it and it attached perfectly afterwords.

Here are some pics of it:

I haven't used my rifle with it yet, but I have practiced holding my rifle with it and it works great. Once I'm able to get around to hitting the local range I'll be able to really zero-in my ACOG and see what this baby can really do.
