| What is the general consensus on what is the best single point sling plate to use on the AR15 Carbine? I actually need three for ARs and 1 for a Remington 870 shotgun. Is GG&G as good as any or is there a better one out there? Thanks! |

I don't think you're going to find much on the Norgan HATS(Hardware Attachment-Tactical Sling). The same folks who make the Norgon ambi-mag catch, also make this.
Found a patent link. www.freepatentsonline.com/6598330.html What the diagram in the link doesn't show is the c-clip that fastens the two halves together. The assembly is allowed to rotate around the buffer tube. At first I was skeptical of this method, but it works really well. There is no binding of the sling around that area. Weakhand transitions are smooth...feels "balanced". I run it with a Troy single point sling. Norgon link I'll try to get some pics up. |

Go to Brownells website
http://www.brownells.com For the CAR low profile endplate type: 080-000-381 in the search engine. I use Midwest Industries singlepoint endplates on my Mossberg shotguns, they also make them for 870s, very good stuff and they offer the choice of a loop for snap link attachments or a slot for web sling attaching. The right hand loop number is 100-002-335 The right hand slot number is 100-002-337 Hope this helps. Oh, they also offer GG&G singlepoint plates but they only have these with a slot. |
