I'm looking for a front sling mount that will mount the front attchment point of the sling roughly btween the front of the upper and back of the forend, basically at the delta ring. Rifle is a 16inch RRA AR15 I have my gear sector two point currently mounted up on the bayonet lug with an addaptor/rail get up. But at that length there is just enough room for me to shoulder my AR comfortably (I'm 6'00 220 and pretty thick in the chest/shoulders). There wouldn't be enough room when I have my body armor on though and figure if I move the front mounting point back I could gain some room. I would like to beable to mount my gun with out having to slip my left are out of the sling. Back of the sling is mounted with a M.I. adaptor at the castle nut. Both front and back mount with HK clips, but that can change if needed. If anyone has any idea's it would be greatly appreciated as would PICS of your rifles, if set up this way would be awesome. Oh, also I have the standard type fore end (no rails) and would like something that would work with out having to get a quad rail system, etc, as my budget is tight right now. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks J- |

Just a thought - maybe give Gear Sector a call and see if they can provide a longer adapter with an HK clip? That would make the sling longer without changing the mounting locations. Or, maybe they can just make you a longer sling? I guess this only makes sense if you like the current mounting location? But it would be easy. Good Luck. |
