I love my AR's, I have a 20" A2 and a 16" mid-lenth flattop.  But that twang of the recoil spring drives me nuts.  I checked out some hydraulic buffers online, and they seem like a decent option, but they are expensive, and I don't know anyone with firsthand experience to recommend them.  Are they worth the price?

Is there any other way to make that spring silent.  I'm suprised someone doesn't make a coated spring, or something of that nature.  If there is another product made that will stop that noise, let me know.

The Enidine hydraulic recoil buffer works. Makes a noticable diff. and well worth the $$

One issue I have seen on several set-ups with the Enidine is that the bolt does not always hold open on the last shot
