I just got my first AR about a month ago, and am wanting to get a good sling, but I know very little about them.  I'm wanting to spend between $50 and $100 on one.  Is there a sling specially made for precision rifles?  Also I have noticed that some sling are attached by wrapping it through the front sight, I would prefer the sling to attached to the appropriate mount on the front sight.  If possible can you help me out finding a sling that matches my criteria?  Thanks

P.S. -  I tried the search function and couldn't find my answer, if there is already a thread on this could you just attach the link for me?  Last time I posted a question I got a ton of reply's telling me to use the search function.

I've got a Turner M1907 on my SAM-R Clone, but that's a non-standard choice.

Look into the slings used for the M40A3, that might prove more useful.

If you are wanting a position sling for a precision rig, the last thing you want to do is attach it to the FSB.  If you are going to simply use the sling for carrying (versus support while shooting) attaching it to the FSB isn't such a problem.
If you want a sling for shooting support, the '07 sling is GTG.  Just make sure you are not attaching it to the FSB or barrel in any way.  It should attach to the free float.
